The Day The Music Died February 3, 1959

I was just a young lad when that fatal crash  took the
the lives of  Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J.P. "The Big Bopper Richardson."

I was to young to understand at the time ,
but grew more curious, as I grew older.

Their chartered Beechcraft Bonanza crashed just minutes after takeoff with Roger
Peterson at the wheel. He died along with his three passenger. The  Investigators blamed the crash on bad weather and
pilot error.

"The day the music died."  In my search I found, BIOGRAPHY, covered the story well.
Since the 1971 song by Don McLean, "American Pie" the fraise - the day the music died - has grown in intensity, as referring to the crash.

I use "Duck-Duck-Go" as my search engine. Here are the links returned  when I wanted to learn more about the event.
